Windows Phone(s msft) is about to get a whole lot bigger – physically, that is. According to a report from The Verge, Nokia(s nok) is currently testing a 6-inch Windows Phone device.
Codenamed Bandit, a 6-inch display would make this the biggest Windows Phone yet, and the first “phablet” for Windows Phone in general. The phone reportedly features a 1080p display and is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm(s qcom) Snapdragon processor, which also places it at an advantage against the rest of the competition, which top out at 720p resolution and dual-core processor chips.
But the biggest news is that the Bandit will feature a rear camera with at least 20-megapixel resolution. There will be a slight bump on the back of the phone to accommodate the large sensor, like we’ve seen on the Lumia 925.
